Carlos Tevez includes seven former Manchester United teammates in Dream XI
As reported by the Daily Star, Carlos Tevez has picked his Dream XI, comprising of seven former Manchester United teammates.
Tevez spent two years at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009, having arrived from West Ham United on a loan deal. While the club was working on making his transfer permanent in 2009, he decided to jump ship and join City, which upset a lot of United fans.
Up until that point, the Argentine was idolised by the fans, given his exploits in front of goal and the partnership he had struck up with Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. Indeed, he played a key role in the club’s Champions League triumph in 2007/08.
However, he decided to make the controversial switch to City instead. While he may have won the Premier League with them, the 36-year-old clearly seems to rate his time at Old Trafford higher. He has named as many as seven former United teammates in his best all-time XI. (h/t Daily Star)
“If I retired and had to put together a farewell match, my team would be: Gianluigi Buffon, Hugo Ibarra, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney. I’d stay on the bench.”
As mentioned previously, Tevez had struck up a spectacular partnership with Ronaldo and Rooney. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to the see the duo in the side. Pogba also gets picked, although that is more due to the duo’s association at Juventus.
Scholes is also named by Tevez, along with Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, and Evra. Legends Buffon and Messi also get picked.

It is certainly an interesting selection from Tevez, given that none of his former Man City teammates like Yaya Toure and David Silva get selected.
He made 99 appearances for United, scoring 34 goals in the process. After leaving United, he played for City, Juventus, Shanghai Shenhua and is currently at Boca Junior.
