Alexis Sanchez will return to Manchester United once his Inter Milan loan ends
According to Sky Sports Italia (h/t Daily Star), Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez will return to the club once his loan at Inter Milan ends in the summer.
The Chilean star has endured a tough time in Italy since joining on loan last summer. Injuries and a loss of form have seen him make just 17 appearances all season. His inability to make an impact has seen him net just one while assisting three more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
United are keen to get the 31-year-old off their books. His poor return coupled with the absurd wages makes him a liability both on and off the field.
However, with Antonio Conte keen to win the Europa League, he is desperate to keep the Chilean at the San Siro.
The Europa League is set to continue in August, by which time Sanchez’s loan would have ended. With him set to return to Old Trafford, it will leave Inter short of options in the attack.
According to the report, Conte is desperate to reach an agreement with the Blues to allow the player to feature in European competition He is keen to secure the trophy and is hoping to use all the resources at his disposal.
Meanwhile, Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta is working hard behind the scenes to work out an agreement about being able to use Moses.

It is debatable if it will be in our best interests to permit Inter an extension. The Europa League looks to be our best route to the Champions League. It makes no sense for us to strengthen a rival.
The Chilean’s quality is undoubted even if his form and commitment are suspect. The last thing we want to face is being denied by one of our own.
