“There were lots of offers” – PL star admits that he turned down Man United in January

Speaking to Desimpedidos (h/t Metro), Everton star Richarlison has revealed that he had an offer to join Manchester United in January.

The Brazilian attacker has been a revelation since his big-money move to Everton. He has made 71 appearances for the Toffees while scoring 26 goals and six assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)

“There were lots of offers during the season, from Barcelona and from Manchester United.”

Everton was not in the best of shapes. Carlo Ancelotti had just taken over as he tried to clear the mess left behind by Marco Silva.

IUt si a testament to Richarlison’s character that he was not keen to leave behind his teammates and jump ship when afforded the opportunity.

“I didn’t want to leave in the middle of the season. It’s bad to leave team-mates like this.”

It is not the first time that we have been linked with the Samba star. Jose Mourinho was keen to bring the player to Old Trafford during his stint as the United manager in 2018. (h/t Metro)

Richarlison had earlier admitted that it would be a dream come true to play at Old Trafford. Still just 23, he may very well get the chance to do so as a United player in the future.
