Jack Grealish has his heart set on Manchester United switch
According to Starsport (h/t Metro), Jack Grealish has his heart set on a move to Manchester United.
The Aston Villa skipper has been impressive this season in the English top flight. He has made 31 appearances, producing nine goals and eight assists. Under his leadership, the Villans also made it to the League Cup final. (h/t Transfermarkt)
In a boost for United, he is keen to make the move irrespective of Villa’s fate. Currently second from bottom, they are in real danger of going down. (h/t Metro)
According to the report, Woodward will enter into talks with Aston Villa over a £75m deal for Grealish. He will be offered a contract worth around £150,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
United are keen on signing young homegrown players. Not only does Grealish fill the criteria but is also seen as a future United star. (h/t Metro)
His leadership skills are also an added bonus as we aim to close the gap at the top. The Red Devils have consistently added key members to the squad in the previous few windows.
Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have clearly solidified the rearguard. Bruno Fernandes added to the midfield while Paul Pogba is also back in action.
Adding Grealish to the mix would make the midfield a dynamic entity at least on paper. It remains to see if we can get him and if so what role he plays for us.

Grealish has shown enough to suggest he can become an important player for United.
The fearless way he has performed this season in the Premier League should allay fears of him making it at the top. At just 24, he has his best years ahead of him and can become a key cog as we aim for the top.
