Manchester United stars train following cancellation of Stoke friendly
Manchester United were supposed to take on Stoke City in a friendly at Carrington yesterday.
Unfortunately, the match had to be called off after Potters boss Michael O’Neill tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the Express, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to go ahead with the preparations and chose to do the next best thing – an inter-squad friendly.
The boss was at hand to watch as his first-team stars faced off against each other. To the delight of supporters, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes also took part in the session.
However, they happened to be in different teams. We believe Solskjaer is not keen to show off his hand to any of our rivals.
With the match against Tottenham Hotspur fast approaching, we might well get to see the duo work their magic on the field.
United are currently on an 11-match unbeaten streak. With us looking to leapfrog Chelsea to fourth place, a good start is imperative.
