Manchester United target Jude Bellingham to stay at Birmingham City until end of season
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Manchester United target Jude Bellingham will stay with Championship club Birmingham City until the end of the season, before sealing his big-money move.
The 16-year-old has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough campaign in 2019/20, taking the Engish second division by storm. In 32 matches in the Championship, Bellingham has managed four goals and three assists, despite playing as a midfielder.
This has led to a flurry of interest in the youngster, mainly from Manchester United as well as German giants Borussia Dortmund. (h/t Daily Mail)
Bellingham is currently on a scholar’s deal at Birmingham City. The youngster makes about £145-a-week. He will able to sign his first pro contract on his 17th birthday on June 29, nine days after the Championship campaign is scheduled to restart.
The youngster has two options in front of him – to sign a new professional contract on his birthday or to let his youth contract run into its second year.
A report from Birmingham Live claims that Manchester United might look to take advantage of the situation and offer him terms from the said date, before the Championship has ended.
However, as per the Daily Mail, Bellingham shares a great rapport with the club and will remain until the end of the season, irrespective of whether he signs his first professional contract or not.

It remains to be seen whether Bellingham pens a new contract with the Blues or not. But it seems that he will see out the season with them, before taking the next step in his career.
