Man United superstar changes his stance on La Liga transfer

Man United star Paul Pogba no longer interested in Real Madrid transfer

According to a report from The United Stand (h/t Express), Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba is uninterested in securing a summer transfer to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Pogba has been linked with a move to the Spanish giants since last summer. In fact, Los Blancos came up with a lowly offer of £27m plus Mariano Diaz and James Rodriguez. United flatly rejected this proposal and the Frenchman ended up staying put. (h/t Express)

Pogba has endured an injury-riddled campaign, featuring just eight times across all competitions in 2019/20. However, interest in him has not declined, with both Real Madrid and Juventus keen on signing him. (h/t Express)

However, a club source has told The United Stand (h/t Express) that Pogba is no longer keen on a move to Real Madrid and could stay put at United.

“There’s a lot of whispers that Pogba isn’t as set on going to Madrid as he once was. I think it was more If Pogba/Raiola pushed the move like United feared at one point.”

Pogba returned to Manchester United from Juventus back in 2016 and enjoyed a successful comeback, winning three trophies. However, his spell since has been a tumultuous one to say the least.

But with the midfielder now not keen on a transfer to Real Madrid, it might turn out to be a great positive for United. A combination of Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in midfield would be a frightening prospect for any opposition coming up against us.

We won’t have to wait long to see how the two superstars fare together, with football set to resume in a couple of weeks. Manchester United will resume their campaign against Tottenham Hotspur.
