Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes apologises to teammate Nathan Bishop after training incident
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has issued an apology to teammate Nathan Bishop on social media, after beating the goalkeeper with a cheeky chip shot during a training session.
The incident happened earlier this week, as Manchester United stepped up their preparations for the return of the Premier League. During a game between two small teams, Fernandes, playing against Bishop, was recorded beating the goalkeeper with a delectable lobbed effort.
The young custodian, who also arrived in January much like Fernandes, could only watch the ball sail over his head and into the net.The 25-year-old midfielder posted a picture of the said goal on his Instagram story soon after. He did so with the caption: “Sorry @nathanbishop30”.
Bishop, 20, signed for United from lower league club Southend United in the winter transfer window. The Englishman is yet to make his senior debut, while he is also yet to feature for United’s reserves.
Fernandes, on the other hand, has been a huge hit at Manchester United since arriving. The 25-year-old signed from Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon in January and has helped transform the club’s form since.
Till date, he has featured nine times across all competitions for the Red Devils. In those, Fernandes has produced an impressive return of 3 goals and 4 assists.
