Harry Maguire fines teammates for missing team bonding events

According to The Times, Luke Shaw has revealed that Manchester United players are fined if they do not turn up for team bonding events. This is due to a policy brought in by skipper Harry Maguire.

Maguire, who replaced Ashley Young as club captain, is keen to foster togetherness amongst the squad. He has now made it compulsory for players to attend team events.

It was not the case in the past where several players have skipped team bonding sessions. It was only last September that a number of players missed a meal organized by David de Gea at Juan Mata’s restaurant.

Maguire’s policy ensures that such a situation is not repeated in the future.

Shaw believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not just signed good players on the pitch, but also excellent personalities off it. He believes they have integrated well into the squad and have added energy and togetherness.

“That’s particularly true of Harry. He’s really trying to make sure we get more things done together as a group going forward.”
