Owen Hargreaves likens Man Utd ace Bruno Fernandes to Kevin De Bruyne
According to a report by The Mirror, former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has likened Bruno Fernandes to Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne after a stunning performance in the Europa League.
United romped to a 5-0 win against LASK in the Europa League even as the match was played behind closed doors due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Much like all of our recent performances, Bruno played a starring role. He continuously made things happen in the midfield and also set up Odion Ighalo for his opening goal.
The fact that we are on an 11-game unbeaten streak since Fernandes’ arrival speaks volumes of his impact on the team.
Speaking to BT Sport (h/t The Mirror), Hargreaves lavished praise on the former Sporting Lisbon star.
“Every time he gets the ball he makes something happen. Fernandes is on fire – he created five chances in that first half.”
“Like De Bruyne, he plays at his own speed – he’s never rushed, finds pockets of space,” Hargreaves explained.

He went on to add that Bruno’s arrival has given all the players at United a lift. And that has been more than evident in our performances lately.
Bruno Fernandes has been top class for United so far and if he continues to perform like this on a consistent basis, then we’d have found ourself an outstanding creator for the future.
