Harry Kane could favour a move to Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could be on his way to Manchester United in the summer, according to Goal (h/t The Express).
The 26-year-old isn’t keen on staying at Spurs since their chances of winning silverware this season is remote (h/t The Express).
The report goes on to say that Kane wants to be challenging for the Premier League title and isn’t keen on sticking around.
Sources close to the player have hinted at the player’s preference of making a move to Old Trafford.
This would come as good news to the ears of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and Ed Woodward since they are in the market for a striker, having failed to replace Romelu Lukaku last season.
The striker, however, will not come cheap as Spurs will demand a fee in the region of £150million.
The Tottenham chairman is willing to increase Kane’s wages to £200,000-a-week in an attempt to entice him to stay put.
One of the best strikers in the Premier League, Kane has showcased his abilities as a consistent scorer. He is entering his peak years and in spite of scoring 181 goals in 278 appearances for Tottenham, he is yet to win a trophy.
Mourinho’s comments of there not being wholesale changes in the summer may hasten Kane’s departure.
