Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure issues transfer alert to Manchester United
Watford’s midfield star Abdoulaye Doucoure has talked up a move to a top Premier League side with Manchester United being one of the interested parties. (h/t Metro)
Having joined the Hornets from Rennes in 2016, Doucoure has gone on to make 125 appearances for the club and has scored 16 goals.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will prove to be the bigger threat to United’s chances of securing the Frenchman.
This is because Doucoure has spoken of his preference to stay in the English Premier League. He has also gone on to suggest that this season could be his last at Watford.
Another stumbling block could prove to be United’s inability to provide Champions League football next season. Doucoure has already stated that he prefers to move to a club competing in the competition.
United face Chelsea next and a win could help close the gap on the Blues who currently occupy the coveted fourth spot.
