Chelsea winger Eden Hazard will not join Manchester United, even if Zinedine Zidane becomes the manager.
The Red Devils are currently under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the former United striker replaced Jose Mourinho. There is no confirmation as to who would be our manager next season.
Solskjaer has done a wonderful job so far, having won every game in charge. The Red Devils lie just three points outside the top four.
Hazard has seen his Chelsea side slip up in recent weeks was asked if he was open to joining Real Madrid. He told France Football (h/t Mirror):
“Why not? You know it very well.”
However, he refused to move from London to Manchester even if we are managed by former Real Madrid man Zidane.
“If he goes to Manchester tomorrow, for instance, I will not be going there.”
The Mirror reports that Zidane wanted to sign Hazard when the Frenchman was the Real Madrid manager but could not get a deal over the line.
Hazard wanted to leave Chelsea last summer, as per the report, and it will be interesting to see if the Belgian is allowed to join Madrid next season.
United don’t seem to be in the reckoning for any players in the current window. Our activity next season will depend on who manages the side.
Solskjaer has done a brilliant job until now. If he continues winning games and ensures a top-four finish, the Norwegian can give any other manager a run for their money.
