Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is a priority signing for Jose Mourinho, according to the Sun.
The Senegalese defender has been impressive for the Serie A side, and the report claims Manchester United will look to bolster their defence by signing the 27-year-old.
The report claims that Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in the centre-back, but Napoli aren’t looking to sell their star player.
Koulibaly would cost around £80million (h/t Sun) after signing a new deal with Napoli in August. The report claims that Mourinho would have to spend big to sign the 27-year-old.
United didn’t sign a central defender in the summer but we have struggled to keep the goals out this season.
United are eighth in the Premier League after 12 games but have conceded an astonishing 21 goals this season.
The Red Devils have stuck with Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling at the back, but the likes of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo aren’t preferred under Mourinho.
Koulibaly would be an excellent signing for the Red Devils, and would certainly make us a tougher unit to break down.
The Senegalese is quick off the blocks, strong in the air and is comfortable with the ball at his feet. It is to be seen if we are willing to spend huge in the winter window or not.

Hopefully, we will get a quality defender into the side and push on in the Premier League.
