Jerome Boateng might prefer a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain rather than Manchester United, according to ESPN pundit Brian McBride.
United have been looking to sign a central defender this summer and while Boateng was linked with a move away from Bayern Munich, McBride believes Paris would be a better option for the German defender because of the facilities at the Ligue 1 giants.
McBride was quoted by the Express as saying:
“Man United, certainly they’re looking for a central defender, you could see them having an interest.
“I just think for Boateng, the possibility of playing in Paris, the setup they have there, I would see him probably going to PSG before Manchester United.”
While United have been linked with a move for Harry Maguire of Leicester City, Boateng could be a cheaper move for the Red Devils.
The German defender played just 19 Bundesliga games for the Bavarian giants last season but he did make it to the World Cup side where Germany were knocked out in the group stages.
Boateng might be 29, but he still is a class defender and has experience of playing in the Premier League for Manchester City.
The 29-year-old will probably be making a move away from the Bundesliga giants but it will be difficult for us to compete with the financial prowess of PSG should there be a bidding war for the defender.

Mourinho might have to look at other targets as the transfer window closes on 9th August. It will be interesting to see how the transfer window pans out for us before the start of the season.
