Manchester United could be looking to make a mega £65million bid for England’s World Cup star Harry Maguire.
The Daily Mail claims that Jose Mourinho is interested in the Leicester City defender, however, any move for the Englishman can only take place once United sell one of their defenders.
The report suggests that Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo have all had enquiries this season while Claude Puel of Leicester is also keeping tabs on a couple of players who could replace Maguire.
Yerry Mina and Gary Cahill are two players the Leicester manager could move for as Maguire’s value has skyrocketed after the World Cup.
The defender certainly was one of the best English players and Mourinho could look to replace either Phil Jones or Chris Smalling with the Leicester man.
Selling either Jones or Smalling would be the ideal scenario for us but paying £65million for a player with a couple of decent seasons in the Premier League might seem a bit excessive.
Unfortunately, the market is inflated and for a quality player to come in, we would have to spend extra. Another problem for us is the fact that the English transfer window closes on 9th August, which is less than three weeks away.
We have already signed three players in the off-season but bringing in a young defender who has loads of potential could be a smart move for the present and the future.

Maguire certainly has it in him to play for one of the big boys in England and it would be brilliant if that club is ours.
