Chelsea prefer to sell Willian to Barcelona rather than Manchester United unless we allow Anthony Martial to move in the other direction, according to the Telegraph.
Willian and Martial have been linked with moves away from their respective clubs and the Telegraph claims that we still have a chance if we throw the 22-year-old Martial into the deal, despite Barcelona being interested in the Brazilian winger.
The report claims that Chelsea are looking at around £60m from Barcelona if they are to let Willian join the Catalan giants.
A swap between the two clubs would make sense given that Willian is someone who can do a great job under Jose Mourinho.
The deal certainly will not be easy to complete given that Willian is 29 while Martial is only 22. In fact, if we are to think about the swap, it should be Chelsea who should pay us for Martial and throw Willian into the deal.
The Brazilian is currently with the national team for the World Cup and is expected to play in their quarter-final clash against Belgium. Willian scored 13 times and provided 8 assists as he helped the team to an FA Cup trophy.
The Brazilian coming to United will add another dimension to our attack and will make us more potent, however, losing Martial would be a major blow as the Frenchman has a lot of potential.
The ideal scenario would be keeping Martial and signing Willian, however, it seems that only one of the two will be at Old Trafford next season.
