According to a report by Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport (h/t The Sun), Lazio are targetting a move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to replace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is a long-term target for Manchester United.
The Lazio ace played a key role for his side as they finished 5th in the Serie A. The Italian outfit are understandably hesitant about letting him leave but since they are making plans to bring in Ramsey, it looks like we do have a good chance of landing our man.
Milinkovic-Savic is an attacking midfielder by trade but he usually plays in the central midfield area. His flair for surging forward to split open defences could prove to be a welcome change for us. Over the course of the previous term, we lacked an out-and-out attacking midfielder but the 23-year-old’s presence could solve numerous issues for Jose Mourinho up front.
The Serbian enjoyed a breakthrough season as he chipped in with a total of 14 goals and 6 assists in the recently concluded campaign. As per Squawka, he also created a total of 35 chances in 21 Serie A games.
Despite his attacking tendencies, Milinkovic-Savic operates as a classic box-to-box midfielder and we could truly utilise a player like him. But if we are to sign him, Mourinho must offload some of our current options. After all, we recently signed Fred, who is a similar player and it does not make sense to have a surplus of big names for one role.

A £100million price tag is no joke and Mourinho must do his research before making this move. However, if Mourinho has a plan for the player, we must definitely pursue him as Lazio attempt to sign Ramsey.
