According to a report by The Metro, Anthony Martial has deleted all traces of Manchester United from his Instagram account.
The report goes on to claim that the player is considering an exit from the Red Devils after enduring a season filled with troubles under Jose Mourinho. The young Frenchman boasts of immense talent and he did work well on the left-wing. But ever since Alexis Sanchez arrived from Arsenal, Martial’s opportunities have been limited.
In fact, he has hardly featured for United since January and the lack of game time seems to have cost him a place in the France side for the upcoming World Cup in Russia next month.
That will come as a major blow to the youngster’s hopes of representing his country and it looks like an exit from United is the best option for him right now.
If his recent activity on Instagram is anything to go by, it seems as if Martial is determined to leave United and move on to bigger and better things.
Given his talent and potential, he will certainly not face any shortage of potential suitors. Of course, losing him will affect our depth and quality up front but we have another able youngster in the form of Marcus Rashford. Sanchez seems to have made the left-wing role his own and Rashford can act as a solid deputy.
Let’s just hope Martial is able to move to a different club this summer and reach his true potential.
