David De Gea was probably the best business United did in the summer. The Spaniard made a string of saves last night, including a fantastic double save from Henderson and Clyne. Moreover, his distribution and on-the-ball skills is simply superlative to say the very least, and if we had better ball players upfront, we could easily have set up a few more counter attacks.
3. LIVERPOOL IS VAN GAAL’S FAVOURITE TARGET
Van Gaal’s United have made it 4 out of 4 against Liverpool, scoring 9 goals and conceding only 2 in the process. This season, his team have had 4 shots on target and all 4 have been goals, making it six points out of six. Before the game, there was a lot of hype about Firmino and Klopp’s tactics, but they didn’t work out at all as the Old Trafford outfit came away with the victory once again.
Moreover, the passion that was on show by the likes of Ander Herrera on the bench, and Michael Carrick, Phil Jones and Marcus Rojo who were in the away stands, would make the trip worthwhile for the travelling fans as they take the trip down the East Lancashire Road back to Manchester.
