Manchester United Linked With PSG Wonderkid: Why He May Consider The Move

Manchester United’s midfield is the main point of concern for Louis van Gaal, as the club have been linked with a host of players across Europe. The latest is Adrien Rabiot.

The Daily Mail reports that United are interested in the 19 year-old midfielder and have added him to their list of potential transfer targets for this summer.

Rabiot is seen as one of the future stars of French football. He is yet to make his senior international debut but has worked his way up from under 16 to the under 21 squad.

After coming back from a loan spell with Toulouse, Rabiot featured more often this season under Laurent Blanc, making 25 league appearances and maintaining a pass accuracy of 90%. (Squawka)

Although he shows a lot potential, that is unfortunately not what Paris Saint Germain are about right now. They want to build a team of world stars and conquer European football.

Rabiot was already behind Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti, but with the signing of Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle his chances of regular pitch time dropped dramatically.

The move to Manchester United could certainly appeal to him, the chance to play regularly in the Premier League, for one of the biggest clubs at 19 years of age.

Not only that but if he were to feature regularly in a top team, it certainly wouldn’t hurt his chances of being called up into the senior national squad.

An attractive proposal for him to consider.
