Erling Haaland addresses speculations amid Manchester United transfer links
According to the Metro, Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland has issued a response to the speculations surrounding his future amid links with Manchester United.
The 20-year-old has become one of the most sought-after strikers in the world after his exploits for Borussia Dortmund. Having signed for the Bundesliga giants in January last year, he has been in scintillating goalscoring form, bagging 49 goals in 49 games.
This has led to interest in the Norwegian international from across Europe with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City as well as Juventus all taking a liking to the striker.
Addressing these transfer speculations, Haaland has said that he is not focused on what’s written in the media and is just concentrating on his game at Dortmund, where he still has three years left on his contract.
“I still have three years of contract [at Dortmund]. I am not worried about that. The media are the ones who write about it, I don’t focus on those things.”
Manchester United currently lack a proven goalscorer in their midst. Edinson Cavani is in the final stages of his gloried career while the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial haven’t exactly been prolific in front of goal.
So, bringing in that striker who will consistently deliver 20+ goals season after season is something that is a necessity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer & co. And, Haaland would be able to provide just that.
