Adnan Januzaj looked like being one of the finest young talents to come from the Manchester United youth academy since the days of Gary Neville or David Beckham. Just at a time when Manchester United were struggling for any kind of inspiration in David Moyes’ single-season, Januzaj managed to make a huge impression. However, his impact since then has been rather mediocre and it is widely believed that the 22-year-old is on the verge of an exit from Manchester United. A number of clubs have been queueing up to sign the player, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland.

Now, pressandjournal.com reported that Scottish champions Celtic are the latest to have made enquiries about Januzaj. Manager Jose Mourinho has sold a number of key players since coming to the club as the replacement for Louis van Gaal. However, he is believed to have given one final opportunity for Januzaj to make an impression and he was sent out on loan to Sunderland. The Belgian international did not make any impression in Sunderland’s extremely poor campaign, which ended in a relegation. Now, he has just one year left on his deal and Manchester United are ready to cash in rather than let him go on a free text summer.

After having just enjoyed a remarkable campaign by winning the treble, Celtic might have been expected to bask in the success. However, former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is already working on strengthening the team with the club looking to sign few attacking signings this Summer. Januzaj would suit Celtic well and will also be similar to the kind of signings that the club has made in recent times. Brendan Rodgers has been able to raid the Premier League and Championship for players like Scott Sinclair and Mousa Dembele – two names who have been crucial in the club’s success last season.

Rodgers is reportedly very confident that signing Januzaj may also prove to be a success, as the player has only been struggling to find a manager who can provide him with a regular run of games and trusts in him.

While United are ready to sell the 22-year-old, manager Jose Mourinho is also about that the player could go on to fulfil his potential once again. As a result, Manchester United are only keen on selling him with a sell on clause (Source: Daily Star).
