Although various transfer windows across Europe are closed now that the clubs are shifting their focus on the football season, there is still a good chunk of players who are wandering as free agents, and many of those who are eager to find a new destination for themselves.
However, mentioning English football, Manchester United have reportedly got their name amongst the English clubs who received an offer to sign an attacking midfielder from right beyond the channel, France.
Yusuf Yazici offered to many clubs alongside Manchester United
According to journalist Graeme Bailey via X, Turkish attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazıcı, currently a free agent, has been offered to several Premier League giants, including Manchester United. However, it remains unclear whether the Red Devils have expressed any concrete interest in the 27-year-old.
A product of Trabzonspor’s youth academy, Yazıcı joined French club Lille in 2019 before moving to CSKA Moscow in January 2022. He returned to Trabzonspor on loan in September 2022. Recent reports suggest that Yazıcı is also attracting interest from the Turkish Super Lig, with Galatasaray currently leading the race to sign the Turkish international.
For Manchester United, the potential addition of Yazıcı seems unnecessary, as the club has already invested significantly in defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte from PSG. This move signals the club’s current focus on bolstering their defensive ranks, rather than adding another attacking midfielder to the mix.
As for United’s forward line, they already have a strong roster of attackers, including Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Højlund, new recruit Joshua Zirkzee, and Brazilian winger Antony.
After a dismal 3-0 loss to Liverpool in their last outing, United will be eager to bounce back when the Premier League resumes after the international break, looking to regain momentum and push forward in the season.
