Nemanja Matic, who played for the Reds between 2017-2022 has revelry criticized Erik Ten Hag and co. for their decision to sell the midfielder Scott McTominay.

In a tweet on X, the former Serbian international lambasted the club for selling the Lancaster-born footballer, who had given some thumping performances with the Manchester-based club.

Following this, Matic also applauded Napoli manager Antonio Conte and underscored his decision to rope in Scott McTominay as a smart move. It is worth noting that the Italian club has paid a prize of €30.50 million to Old Trafford for making this move happen.

McTominay, raised himself through the ranks to join the first team of the club in 2017. Making 255 appearances for the Men in Red, he has to find a new destination for himself, and that too beyond the English channels.
