Jadon Sancho has been omitted from the Manchester United squad to face Fulham
The Premier League is back as Manchester United unveils the new season by hosting Fulham to Old Trafford on Friday evening.
The Red Devils are one of the teams who have poured money into freshen up ahead of this season. Erik ten Hag has brought in four new bodies through the door, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Joshua Zirkzee, and Leny Yoro.
The first Manchester United lineup of the 2024/25 season has been dropped and there is one notable absentee. Star winger Jadon Sancho has been completely left out of the Man United squad to face Fulham at Old Trafford.
The England international has been heavily linked with a move away from the club, with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain understood to be vying for his signature. The 24-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after publicly falling out with Erik ten Hag in September 2023, realises he has no future at Man United and is seemingly doing his part to leave as quickly as possible.
With the summer transfer window entering the last two weeks, Jadon Sancho remains eager for a move to the Paris Saint-Germain. The French giants has yet to table a formal offer for the winger, who finds himself behind the likes of Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo, and Alejandro Garnacho in the pecking order.
The £250k-a-week star buried the hatchet with Ten Hag since returning to the club from his loan spell at Dortmund in the summer. While he was utilised in the US pre-season tour—albeit in a false 9 role—Sancho’s future appears to be away from the Mancunian giants.
PSG have been interested in Sancho since the start of June. Perhaps, the Les Parisians have been encouraged following the Englishman’s performances for Dortmund en route to their Champions League final, although the Bundesliga side were
beaten 2-0 at Wembley Stadium. Following Kylian Mbappe’s exit, they possibly view Sancho as a candidate to fill in the French superstar’s shoes.More Manchester United News-
