Inter Milan ready to hijack West Ham’s bid to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka
According to a Football Insider report, reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan are swooping in with a last-minute bid to hijack West Ham’s move for Man United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Englishman has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, with United asking around £15million for his sale.
A swap move from Inter Milan featuring Denzel Dumfries has also been touted in recent weeks. It has also been reported that Wan-Bissaka would prefer to move to Inter.
Earlier in the window, United rejected a low-ball offer from Turkish league champions, Galatasaray.
Wan-Bissaka moved to United from Crystal Palace five years ago on the back of a £50m move. His £90k-a-week contract expires next June.
United are also looking to bolster their fullback options by getting Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
This will only help Man United
A late entry from Inter plays nicely into United’s hands, who could stand to get slightly more money, or at least an extra defender, in exchange for Wan-Bissaka now.
There’s not much to deliberate upon here: Wan-Bissaka is on his way out anyway, be it to West Ham or Inter, and United are close to agreeing to a deal with Mazraoui. The only thing needed here is haste from all parties involved here.
