Manchester United are set to make a move for Adrien Rabiot
Manchester United are leading the race to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer. The Red Devils have completed initial talks with the player and his mother, with further discussions to be held in the coming days. Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Galatasaray are also keeping tabs on the player, per Caught Offside.
The experienced midfielder has thrived on European stages with his performances for Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus in recent years. The PSG academy graduate also played an important role in the French national team’s journey in Euro 2024, starting six out of seven games for Didier Deschamps’ side.
Rabiot joined Juventus in 2019 following his stint with PSG, and he has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Italian league. He has scored 22 goals and provided 15 assists in 212 games for the Italian side over his five-year tenure.
He was a favourite starter for Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, earning trust with his impressive performances in the middle of the park. Under Allegri, the 29-year-old midfielder has scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 127 games.
Currently, Rabiot’s contract with Juventus has expired, and he is set to move from Italy this summer. The experienced player has been linked with multiple clubs across Europe and will decide his future in the coming days.

United manager Erik ten Hag has struggled with inconsistent
performances from the United midfielders over the last year. Skipper Bruno Fernandes was the only player to shine in the middle of the park last season, prompting the manager to plan major changes in the department for the upcoming season.
The club is preparing to offload experienced midfielders like Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Scott McTominay this summer and has started to accept bids for these players. The Red Devils are keen on signing Rabiot, who is currently out of contract. Ten Hag needs to find replacements for the potential exits and also an experienced midfielder to partner with Bruno in the upcoming season. Man Utd are negotiating a €8-9m a year contract with the player’s entourage.
