Manchester United’s transfer for Noussair Mazraoui hinges on Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Manchester United have kept tabs on Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui. He wants to leave Allianz Arena as he is not a part of Vincent Kompany’s plans for next season.
West Ham had initially agreed a fee close to €25 million with the Bavarians for Mazraoui’s transfer and despite personal terms being finalised, the transfer fell apart.
Foot Mercato has reported that Mazraoui was awaiting an approach from the Red Devils, who have done the needful and verbally agreed on personal terms with the Moroccan international.
Bayern’s asking price of €25 million is not said to be a huge deterrent for Manchester United. However, Mazraoui’s arrival hinges on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future at the club.
The former Crystal Palace right-back is expected to depart Old Trafford with West Ham reportedly keen on his signing. His departure will be key in creating space in the squad as well as easing United’s wage expense to accommodate a replacement.
In signing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, United have already spent lavishly on newer transfers and therefore, any purchase henceforth is likely to require them to sell players first.
West Ham and Manchester United are already in direct talks to get the deal for Wan-Bissaka over the line. Julen Lopetegui needs a right-back and having missed on out Mazraoui, the Spaniard’s employers will need to pay close to €18 million for the Englishman.
With Mazraoui prioritising United’s interest and Wan-Bissaka also keen on
