Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka wants Inter Milan move
According to a report from The Athletic, Man United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is inclined to move to Inter Milan this summer.
The 26-year-old has been heavily touted to leave Old Trafford in this transfer window and recently saw a low-ball offer for him from Galatasaray rejected by his employers.
United could potentially offer Wan-Bissaka to Inter as a swap deal for Denzel Dumfries.
Wan-Bissaka moved to United from Crystal Palace ahead of the 2019/20 season in a £50m move. In five years as a Red Devil, the English has had moments of brilliance, having established himself as one of the most effective tacklers in the league, though the other aspects of his game have left much to be desired.
The 26-year-old’s £90k-a-week contract is set to expire next June, making United keen to offload him this summer.
Wan-Bissaka exit important, but United need defenders out wide
With less than 12 months till his contract expires and an extension highly unlikely, it’s understandable United want to cut their losses on Wan-Bissaka instead of losing him for free.
Two things need to be kept in mind here, though. Firstly, United need to be realistic about their asking price for the Englishman; they’re unlikely to receive an offer in the region of £20 million.
Secondly, United need to be confident in their ability to get a replacement fullback in either before Wan-Bissaka leaves or right after his departure.
