Leny Yoro thanks fans after Man United debut
New Man United signing Leny Yoro was in joyous spirits after his first outing as a Red Devil last Saturday.
Last weekend, United faced Rangers at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh in what was their second friendly of the pre-season. They got back on track this time round with a sure-footed 2-0 victory.
Yoro, having been confirmed as a United player only on Thursday, started the game but came off at halftime.
After the game, he spoke to the club’s in-house media channel, MUTV, about how he was feeling.
“The fans, they are everywhere. They are really good with us. Of course, they were here for me, so for me it was really important.
“So, thank you to the fans. Hope to see you soon in Old Trafford.
“For me, it [the debut] was incredible. It was a really good game from the team. I’m happy with my performance and I hope we continue like that.
“Team-mates helped me a lot, the staff, they make me comfortable.
“On the pitch, we are together, so for me, it’s very good.”

The 18-year-old had a coming-of-age season last time around as he helped Lille secure a Champions League qualification spot for this season.
Quite a few eyebrows were raised when the France U21 and U23 international snubbed an offer from reigning Spanish and European champions Real Madrid to move to Old Trafford.
Yoro has signed a £115k-per-week contract with United, which is set to run until June 2029.
Yoro is an interesting signing in more ways than one
Looking at the two major signings they have secured in Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, United have definitely made a statement.
While both the signings warrant raising an eyebrow or two, Yoro given the fee paid and Zirkzee given his profile as a player, the proactivity with which United have managed to land them and are already gunning for other players is very different from how they’re known to operate, and just like that the new hierarchy at United have already established themselves as someone different from those who presided at Old Trafford before.
