Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood demanded the club to sort his future out as he grows impatient about his future
Mason Greenwood has demanded Manchester United to sort his future out in the next week as he grows very impatient. The Man United outcast returned to the club after his loan spell at Getafe last season, helping them finish 12th.
The Red Devils’ decision to loan or sell Greenwood has divided their massive fanbase in half. The 22-year-old’s current contract with his childhood club runs until 2025 and a permanent transfer could boost United’s financial situation.
Many United fans believe that Greenwood’s quality supersedes his past discretion while emphasizing that he is innocent until proven guilty. However, the other side of the fanbase argues that the club’s integrity is more important than any individual in question.
The Red Devils would make a pure profit by selling Greenwood as he is an academy product, allowing bigger transfer funds. The permanent transfer would also help their situation with the Financial Fair Play rule while avoiding a free transfer later.
According to the Mirror, Greenwood is impatient about the slow movement in the transfer market and wants a quick resolution. The England international made 36 appearances in all competitions for Getafe last season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists.

Once hailed as a “special” talent by then manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, off-the-field antics have meant Greenword’s future at Old Trafford is almost over. Several European clubs like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Lazio are monitoring Greenwood with Valencia already lodging a £25m bid. Marseille and Getafe also want a permanent deal for the forward but the valuation of £40m is a massive demand.

Despite Greenwood‘s young age and immense quality, the United forward brings a lot of divisive attention with him. Understandably, United want to recoup a massive amount for one of their best academy talents in recent years but the negative media attention hurts their position in leveraging a strong deal while the clock ticks on selling him before it is too late.
