Fenerbahce chief keen to reunite Manchester United star Casemiro with Jose Mourinho
As reported by Turkish outlet Sporx, Fenerbahce sporting director, Mario Branco is hard at work at trying to reunite Manchester United superstar, Casemiro with Jose Mourinho. The Brazilian midfielder has had a poor season with the Red Devils.
Casemiro failed to reach his usual levels this past season and doesn’t look like the same player he was during Ten Hag’s first campaign with United. Last season the Brazilian midfielder made 32 appearances for the club recording five goals and three assists.
Casemiro who made a name for himself by being a relentless CDM struggled to defend for the Red Devils last season. Following his performance, there has been a lot of talk suggesting Manchester United could be looking to move on.
So, Fenerbahce might’ve come knocking at the perfect time. The report from Sporx also states that the Turkish side are looking at Victor Lindelof as well. The 29-year-old is another player the team couldn’t count on last season.
Lindelof missed 22 games due to two separate injuries last season, it wouldn’t be surprising if the team pulls the trigger on a deal for him this summer. So, Mourinho could be getting a lot of Red Devils over at Fenerbahce.
The Portuguese manager already has Fred on the team and if things go well for Mario Branco, a big Manchester United reunion could be in store for Jose Mourinho.
