Tottenham could go after Manchester United linked Sebastian Szymanski with a €20m offer
As reported by Turkish outlet Aslinda, Tottenham Hotspur are a strong contender for the signing of Manchester United linked, Sebastian Szymanski. The 25-year-old had quite a debut season at Fenerbahce.
Szymanski made a total of 53 appearances for the Turkish side with most of his time being spent as an AM. Playing right behind the striker, the Polish player proved to be a massive threat in the final third of the pitch and finished his season with 13 goals and 19 assists.
From just a quick glance it is clear to see that Szymanski can score goals as well as facilitate for his teammates. A player like him in Manchester United’s lineup would be a godsend, but Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham will provide some fierce competition.
Aslinda’s report also states that the Lilywhites are expected to sit down with Fenerbahce in the coming days regarding a deal for Szymanski. According to the report, Spurs have a €20m offer in mind for the Polish midfielder.
However, that seems like a little on the cheaper side and might not be enough to close the deal for Sebastian. So while Spurs are showing urgency, Manchester United aren’t completely out of the race just yet.
The Red Devils were linked to Szymanski at the beginning of 2024. If the team still holds interest in the player, they will have to move fast.
