Manchester United are now being linked to Alvaro Morata
As reported by Berat Kunt, Manchester United are interested in bringing in Alvaro Morata who could be available for the cheap price of just €12m this summer. The 31-year-old has had a terrific season for Atletico Madrid.
After impressing for his club, Morata has continued his good form and is now putting on a show for Spain at the EUROs. He made a total of 48 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season with all of his minutes coming in the CF position.
Morata was a sight to behold in front of goal as he racked in a total of 21 goals to go along with his five assists. Manchester United have been looking for an experienced striker to pair with Rasmus Hojlund. The Spanish forward just might be their main.
The best thing about going after Morata is his dirt-cheap release clause. Manchester United might only end up spending €12m for Morata which is an absolute bargain for a player of his quality. In him, the team will get a reliable striker who will also aid with Rasmus Hojlund’s development.
Hojlund has all the talent in the world. However, the need of the hour for him is an experienced player who can teach him the ropes of being a striker for a club with the stature of United.
With the arrival of Morata, the Red Devils can take down two birds with one stone. But, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the player. So, his cheap price has not missed the eyes of numerous European giants.
