Man United could let go of a superstar this summer for the ‘right offer’
As reported by Inews, Manchester United would be willing to let go of Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro, if the right offer comes in. It has been a weird season for the 32-year-old who failed to play up to his usual level.
Casemiro picked up a knock early into the campaign which led to him missing the next 15 games for the Red Devils. In the end, the Brazilian managed to make a total of 32 appearances for United with 25 being in the middle and seven as a CB.
Erik ten Hag was out of options at CB when his team was struggling with injury struggles. So, the Dutchman had to play Casemiro to plug the hole in his defence during the latter stages of the season.
Casemiro recorded a total of five goals and three assists for United last season, and it was clear to see that he is no longer the same player. During Erik ten Hag’s first campaign with the Red Devils, the Brazilian was the most important player on his team.
However, this past season, 19-year-old Kobbie Mainoo outplayed the Brazilian on more than one occasion and even earned himself a trip to the Euros with England. There was a time when Casemiro was one of the best midfielders in the world but those days are long gone.
The Red Devils should strike while the iron is hot and try to attract a sizeable bid for the Brazilian. If Man United don’t move Casemiro this summer, there is a chance that even Saudi clubs might not be interested in him next summer.
