Will strong finish earn Amrabat a permanent Man United move?
Manchester United have an option to make Sofyan Amrabat’s Old Trafford stay a permanent one following the conclusion of the Moroccan’s loan tenure at the club.
The Manchester Reds are yet to rule out the possibility of bringing the Fiorentina-owned midfielder to the club on a permanent deal, per Manchester Evening. It is reported that the decision about his future at the club has been delayed until the club finalizes Ten Hag’s stay at the club.
The Red Devils brought Sofyan Amrabat to Old Trafford on a season-long loan deal from Fiorentina, and the original terms included an option to make the move permanent for €25 million. Any transfer to make the deal permanent looked highly unlikely for the majority of the season; however, the Moroccan finished the season with some spectacular performances at the business end of the season.
Amrabat awaits domino effect to decide his United future
If the ownership at Old Trafford opts to stay with the former Ajax man at the helm, he may push to keep the 27-year-old at the club. However, alongside Erik ten Hag, technical director Jason Wilcox will have a massive say in the strategic decisions regarding player retention and recruitment. However, if the Dutch gaffer is revived for his services, Amrabat’s stay will translate into a final decision by Wilcox. United will be on their toes with respect to his future, with his loan deal set to expire at the end of the month.
Ample of his future also hinges on whether Brazilian midfielder Casemiro moves on to the Saudi Pro League or ends up staying another season in Trafford’s dressing room.
