Manchester United have made a €60m offer in hopes of defeating Real Madrid to teenage target

As reported by Spanish outlet Marca, Manchester United have submitted a €60m offer for Real Madrid target, Leny Yoro. The teenager has got the attention of multiple clubs thanks to his excellent showing for Lille last season.

Yoro made 44 appearances for the French side starting all his games as a CB. The Red Devils are in desperate need of some depth in their back line and Yoro could be the answer to all their problems.

Last season the situation got so bad that Erik ten Hag had to start Jonny Evans and Casemiro at CB when all of his other defenders were out with injuries. Clearly, the team doesn’t want to be in the same situation again.

Yoro has been heavily linked to Real Madrid and was even spotted at Wembley during the UCL finals last week. Fans speculated that the 18-year-old was there to see his future team lift the UCL trophy for the 15th time.

However, talk suggests that Yoro spoke to Manchester United’s executives during his Wembley visit. Los Blancos plan on signing the player but are still waiting for the right time to go on the offensive and table an offer.

This strategy could backfire on Real Madrid now that Manchester United have taken the initiative. But, €60m might not be enough for the club to guarantee a deal for Yoro. It is likely that United will have to increase their bid.
