It has been a difficult season for Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag. Under his leadership, the Red Devils finished eighth in the Premier League which is their worst ever finish. But, the misery doesn’t end there.
Manchester United also failed to get out of the group stage of the Champions League. Moreover, the team failed to defend the Carabao Cup as well. However, it wasn’t all for nothing as the Red Devils lifted the FA Cup during the last game of the season.
No one expected Ten Hag and his Manchester United to beat Pep Guardiola and his Man City side. However, they proved everyone wrong by recording a 2-1 victory against the Blues to lift the FA Cup.
It is being reported by GIVEMESPORT (h/t Manchester Evening News) that Erik ten Hag is still confident of retaining his post as Manchester United manager for next season. The Dutchman is currently enjoying his time away from the club.
A decision on his future is expected to be taken once the club finishes its review of the 2023/24 season. It has been almost two weeks now and the future of Erik ten Hag is still as unclear as it was at the end of the season.
Talk suggests that a decision hasn’t been taken since the Red Devils are still missing two of their key figures, Dan Ashworth and Omar Berrada. Once these two take up office we can expect some swift decisions.
