West Ham can't land a deal for Manchester United target despite £25m

Luke Littler says he wouldn’t want Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling at Manchester United.

In a YouTube short uploaded by Talksport, Darts hero Luke Littler was asked to pick players he’d want at Manchester United. Littler made some very interesting choices and snubbed some of the biggest names in football.

He also snubbed Bukayo Saka, Raheem Sterling, Anthony Gordon, Cole Palmer, Kylian Mbappe and Phil Foden. While he snubbed all of these players, picked Ollie Watkins as someone he’d want at Manchester United.

Watkins is an interesting choice, to say the least. While he did win the PL Playmaker of the Season award, the 28-year-old largely overachieved. If you watch him play a lot of his assists aren’t because of his playmaking abilities.

However, Littler also made some good choices for Manchester United. He picked James Maddison, Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane, and Jude Bellingham as players he’d want at Old Trafford. If United even had one of these players, they’d be a completely different team.

While these are good picks, even Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling would’ve made fine additions to the squad. It could be that Littler didn’t pick the two because of the rivalries between their club and Manchester United.

Since he also didn’t pick Mudrik and Cole Palmer it is safe to assume that this could be the reason why. It would be a job well done if even one of the players mentioned above was wearing the Manchester United red next season. However, that’s an unrealistic expectation to have.
