Erik ten Hag backed to leave Manchester United this summer
Manchester United have endured a difficult season in the recently concluded Premier League campaign, and the pressure has compounded on their Dutch manager Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils did win the FA Cup in the final kick-off of the season; however, the inconsistent performances throughout the season are what the officials in the cubicles at Carrington have to contend with to realize whether the former Ajax’s coach’s future is at Old Trafford or beyond.
The Manchester Reds struggled in multiple facets of the game throughout the season, and teams, at times, found it easy to get behind United’s final line. The inconsistency of performances remained the same at home as well as away, adding to the struggles the club mounted to put the points on the table.
Decision time at Old Trafford
Many United faithful, following their FA Cup triumph, argued that injury concerns were the reason behind the Red Devils ill campaign rather than improper ten Hag tactics. While this has become a debate among many, the Liverpool legend Steve Nicol speaks about the length it is taking for the United Reds to conclude a decision about whether Erik ten Hag is staying or not.
It has been a fair few days since United clinched the FA Cup over City, and the fact that we haven’t heard more about Erik ten Hag’s future at the club says that they are still unsure over the decision. The Liverpool legend argues that the Dutch manager would be thinking it was fair, and there is a fifty-fifty possibility that he stays at Old Trafford. The longer this frags on, the greater the possibility of ETH continuing at the club, and he would not think this to be ‘unfair’ especially considering the situation Manchester United are in with the managerial predicament.
