Managers are waiting for the Red Devils to make a decision on Erik ten Hag says Fabrizio Romano
There has been some sort of positivity surrounding the job security of Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag ever since he beat local rivals Man City in the FA Cup finals. However, the Dutchman might not be out of danger just yet.
While he may have won the FA Cup, he did fail in every other competition that the team was a part of. In fact, the Red Devils also registered their worst-ever Premier League finish under Erik ten Hag this season.
So while he added to the team’s trophy cabinet, it might not have been enough to save his job at Old Trafford. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed while speaking to GIVEMESPORT that several managers are waiting for Man United to take a decision. Let’s have a look.
“At the moment, I can guarantee that many managers are waiting to see what’s going to happen because they’re really attracted by the possibility.”
Romano added that while there are multiple candidates for the job there’s no clear front-runner at the moment. However, he believes that things should become more clear with a little bit of patience.
Former Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel, and even Zinedine Zidane have been linked with the club in recent weeks. However, most big names are always linked to the club whenever a manager’s job is in danger.
So, fans should be taking these reports with a pinch of salt. But, Fabrizio Romano seldom misses the mark with his words and it’s safe to assume that several big names are waiting for Man United to sack Erik ten Hag.
