Alejandro Garnacho sent the fans a message after Manchester United beat Man City to lift the FA Cup

Manchester United star, Alejandro Garnacho is a man of his word. A year ago the 19-year-old winger promised the Old Trafford crowd he would bring the FA Cup trophy home to Old Trafford and he has stood on his word.

It was his goal last night that gave the Red Devils a 1-0 lead over Man City. Garnacho capitalized over Josko Gvardiol’s poor headed clearance and stuck one away to bring United one step closer to glory.

Not even 10 minutes later, Kobbie Mainoo hit a well-placed shot to cap off a beautiful United move. In the end, Manchester United proved to be too much and won the game with a 2-1 scoreline. Garnacho took to Instagram to address the fans and remind them of the promise he made last year.

Including last night’s performance, Garancho made a total of 50 appearances for the Red Devils this season. Over that time he chipped in with 10 goals and five assists. If it wasn’t for the 19-year-old Man United would’ve been worse off than they already were.

Garnacho promised to bring it home and he did. Now, the fans will be looking forward to what he has in store for the team next season. Both Kobbie Mainoo and the Argentine are academy products and have been stellar for the Red Devils.

With a little more time and focus on development, the two can grow into superstars at Old Trafford. Manchester United have some really special talents on their hands and Erik ten Hag can be credited with the growth they’ve shown lately.
