Cristiano Ronaldo wants Al-Nassr to sign Bruno Fernandes this summer
According to a Daily Star report, Cristiano Ronaldo wants Bruno Fernandes to join him at Al-Nassr in the summer.
The Man United captain has been reported to be unhappy in recent weeks, believing the club have failed to match his personal ambitions since his move from Sporting in January 2020.
While Fernandes is expected to attract interest from Europe, with Bayern Munich having emerged as a possible destination recently, the Saudi Pro League’s financial muscles keep the chances of a big-money move occurring alive.
For Ronaldo, things have returned to normalcy on an individual level in his first full year in Saudi Arabia. Having finished second in the league behind Al-Hilal, the all-time top-scorer of men’s international football wants his side to invest in the squad to help them reach the next step.
Man United so far have showed no signs of inclination towards letting Fernandes go, though their hand may be forced in the summer owing to what kinds of offer they receive.
Fernandes’ £240k-a-week contract at Old Trafford is currently set to run until June 2026.
Unlike Cristiano, Bruno does not need to go to Saudi Arabia just yet
Bruno, currently 29, has shown enough by virtue of his performances over the last four and a half years that he is capable of providing value to teams in top echelons of European football and therefore does not need to move to Saudi Arabia just yet.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, offered himself far and wide to any and every Champions League-playing club under the sun after he had made his mind to leave United for a second time, only to accept the move to Saudi Arabia when no such offer arrived.

Of course, Fernandes can choose to call it a day in European football and move near Ronaldo should he choose. If he wants to continue playing his trade in the top tier of club football, though, he will not be short of offers, unlike his veteran compatriot.
