Bruno Fernandes has revealed his ‘ultimate dream’ amid talk of an exit from Manchester United
Manchester United skipper, Bruno Fernandes took to The Players’ Tribune, to share a message with the Old Trafford crowd. It has been a disappointing season for the team and the skipper wants the fans to rally behind the team as they make one last stand.
The Red Devils will be playing Man City in the FA Cup finals tomorrow. The game could very well decide the future of Erik ten Hag. Moreover, there is also talk of an impending exit for Fernandes.
However, the Portuguese skipper has put the minds of all his fans at ease as he revealed his ‘ultimate dream’. Let’s have a look at what Fernandes had to say while addressing the Manchester United fans. (h/t BBC)
“I love to step out at Old Trafford more than anything in the world. I don’t want to leave. This has always been my ultimate dream,”
“I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club. If you go talk to any fan, they will tell you the same thing.”
Fernandes went on to add that he wants Manchester United to win the Premier League, Champions League and basically every other trophy there is that they can win. He chose the word frustration when asked to describe the club’s most recent campaign.
If it wasn’t for the Portuguese midfielder’s stellar performance this season, Man United would’ve been in a worse place. Fernandes made 47 appearances this season recording a total of 15 goals and 12 assists.
While Bruno may be living his ultimate dream by playing for United, the fans won’t get to live their ultimate dream until the club gets more quality up top. Fernandes has been stellar and just needs the correct cast around him to win games.
