Manchester United might sacrifice £72m star for the signing of Victor Osimhen
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United could use £72m star, Rasmus Hojlund as a makeweight to help them sign Victor Osimhen this summer. The young Dane has made 42 appearances this season recording 16 goals and two assists.
Hojlund is far from being the finished article, but he has a ton of room to grow and his potential is what drives his price up. Agent, Andrea D’Amico confirms that adding the Dane in a deal for Osimhen would make it ‘feasible’.
The 25-year-old Napoli forward is on the radar of a lot of top-flight clubs this season. It is all but confirmed that Osimhen will not be playing next season for the Italian side. He has made 31 appearances this season recording 17 goals and four assists.
The Nigerian forward had to deal with a string of injuries last season which held him back from showing his full potential. However, despite the awkward season he had Osimhen still managed to make 21 goal contributions.
A player of his quality would immediately lift up the Red Devils forward line. Pairing him up with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho would make Man United a force to be reckoned with.
However, letting Hojlund go might not sit well with the Old Trafford crowd. The team’s young core of Kobbie Mainoo, Garnacho, and Hojlund have served as a beacon of hope to the fans in what has otherwise been a terrible season.

If Manchester United offloads such a massive talent in hopes of landing Victor Osimhen it might be met with some backlash. However, it won’t be anything that can’t be fixed once the Nigerian gets it going at Old Trafford. Hopefully, the team can bring him in this summer.
