As reported by Football.London, Manchester United have suffered a telling blow in the race for Leny Yoro as PSG are now on the scene. It is being reported that Paris Saint-Germain’s £43m bid for the teenage Ligue 1 sensation has been accepted.

Chelsea were also in the running and are now set to miss out on the 18-year-old star. Yoro has been on the radar of multiple top-flight clubs thanks to his level of defence at such a young age.

The Frenchman has made a total of 44 appearances for Lille this season recording a total of three goals. Yoro has already begun to make a case for himself as one of the best defenders in Ligue 1.

The 18-year-old star has excellent positioning in defence and clogs up passing lanes extremely well. Yoro has all the makings of a world-class defender and could very well achieve that level within a few years.

Manchester United who were preparing to overhaul their defence this season will not be happy about missing out on Yoro. The only option available to the team now is to approach the 18-year-old and convince him to reject PSG for a place at Old Trafford.

However, other clubs will be taking the same approach. So, the Red Devils need to offer something Yoro something that their rivals can’t compete with. Unfortunately, they won’t be playing in the UCL next season and after a terrible campaign, there’s not a lot to offer.
