New training video shows David de Gea might not be over Manchester United yet

Manchester United have finished their first season without their iconic goalkeeper, David de Gea. The 33-year-old was allowed to leave on a free transfer last summer and Erik ten Hag promptly replaced him with Andre Onana.

Contrary to popular belief the Cameroonian goalkeeper has actually had a very promising debut season for Manchester United. Onana faces a lot of shots and obviously, he can’t save everything. The criticism he gets should be directed toward the defence instead of him.

On the other hand, David de Gea still hasn’t found a team ever since he took his leave from Old Trafford. It seems like the 33-year-old is still not over the club as his latest training video shows him training in Man United gear.

It is quite shocking that David de Gea hasn’t been able to find a club since he left Manchester United. During his best years, the Spanish goalkeeper was easily one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The Mirror reports that Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have shown interest in De Gea. Elsewhere Real Betis from La Liga have also propped up as a contender for the 33-year-old’s signature.

If nothing works De Gea can always head to Saudi Arabia thanks to his excellent numbers. The Spanish national made 545 appearances for Man United recording a staggering 190 clean sheets during that time.

David De Gea has a total of 223 clean sheets to his name.
