Manchester United loanee is on the radar of Napoli
As reported by The Athletic (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United loanee, Mason Greenwood is now on the radar of Napoli. The Serie A side believes Greenwood could provide a sizeable boost to their offense.
The 22-year-old has been having a stellar time on loan at Getafe. Greenwood has made 34 appearances for the Spanish side recording 10 goals and six assists. It has helped him garner interest from multiple top-flight clubs.
Now the Red Devils will be making a lot of moves this summer and that requires money. It is expected that the team will be listening to offers for a lot of players in an effort to raise money and reinvest it back into the squad.
Since Greenwood is an Academy product, any sale for him would result in pure profit for The Old Trafford squad. So, the interest from Napoli can surely help Manchester United get their hands on some real gems this summer.
The 22-year-old was once rated at £134m, however, his stock has fallen since. But the figure alone should help the Red Devils get a decent deal for Greenwood on the table.
Napoli will also have to take on FC Barcelona who have been linked to the 22-year-old in recent weeks. With all these teams circling around the young star, his future at Old Trafford seems more and more unsure.
