Casemiro took to Instagram to bid farewell to Manchester United departee, Raphael Varane
Manchester United star, Raphael Varane is expected to play his last game for Manchester United this season. The 31-year-old will not be extending his deal with the club and will leave when his current contract expires at the end of the season.
His teammate from Real Madrid, Casemiro recalled their time together at Old Trafford and pointed to their glory in the EFL Cup as he bid farewell to the Frenchman on Instagram. Varane is still a quality defender.
However, the Frenchman’s inability to stay fit and his high wage is the reason behind his departure from Old Trafford. Varane is now fit to negotiate a contract with any club and will most likely be wearing a new uniform by the time the next season kicks off.
There is said to be some interest from Saudi Arabia and some talk also suggests that Varane could be headed back to Spain. However, there has been no confirmation of what the Frenchman plans on doing next.
The 31-year-old is currently out due to injury but he will be available this Sunday and he plans to bid farewell to all the Manchester United fans. Varane’s time in England might not have been as successful as he would’ve hoped, but his efforts merit recognition.
Varane will always be appreciated by the people at Old Trafford. His time in England was short but at least he got a trophy out of it. Casemiro is also expected to depart from Old Trafford this summer and talk suggests he could also be heading to Saudi.
